Back in the year 2000, Jon, Rob and Jeff, with impending doom looming over their heads, decided that it was time to start a new band. The untimely death of their legendary hip-rock band Fist to the Dome had previously left them broken, ashamed, and afraid to love again. Egos finally healed they adopted Jake for vocals. Jeff was on drums, Rob on lead guitar and Jon was on bass, but this formula just wasn't right and would not last very long...

In 2002, Jon accidentally stumbled upon the awkward band practice of three friends: Dustin, Jim and drums-Brian. They had found their missing element: a singer who could write slightly-better-than-mediocre lyrics. After going through several names that didn't quite capture the nature of the band, they finally swallowed their collective pride and called Jeff, asking permission to use the name of his old band (he came up with it, it wouldn't have been right to take it without asking, now would it?). He reluctantly agreed. Their influences included Less Than Jake, Sublime, Goldfinger, and Reel Big Fish, but they weren't sure what kind of sound this collaboration would produce. A year later they found themselves in the studio with a sax player (aka sax-Brian), a solid fan-base and a dream. Several shows and an EP later the band would face trying times...

The present: After differences not interesting enough to write about, Jon, Dustin and sax-Brian found themselves stripped of a rhythm section. Was this the same doing that had previously cursed the legendary Fist? Turning to close friends for aid, they found themselves the perfect pair: the original Jeff on drums and the original Rob on bass. In an odd twist of events the band had come full-circle.

The band is now re-assembled, complete with Bob the tromboner, and is playing a show near you! Case of the Mondays have already packed such venues as the Khyber, Doc Watson's, Brownie's 23 East, Stockton College, Club 218, Pontiac Grille, Abilene's, the TLA and have headlined the legendary Grapestreet Pub on many occasions. COTM have played with such national acts as the Toasters, Mustard Plug, Streetlight Manifesto, Planet Smashers, and they continue to pack houses all over the northeast US.
